Darrol J. Baker

Darrol Joseph Baker is Director of the Golden Helix Foundation. He has a keen research interest in the field of clinical molecular genetics and next generation sequencing with a special focus on the industrialization of personalized medicine with an understanding of the respective roles between both genes and the environment, in the etiology and pathophysiology for complex human diseases. Darrol maintains an extensive commercial understanding with teaching within many leading academic research universities, Institutes and foundations and currently participates in co-editing an academic textbook on Genome Informatics in Personalized Medicine. Dr Baker holds a PhD degree from the University of Oxford and a Masters in Computer Science from University College London, where he studied the effect of artificial intelligence and machine learning on ICD9 biomarker and early whole human genome sequencing data.
