The 2014 Golden Helix Summer School was successfully organized in Apollo resort hotel in Aegina island, Greece, 11-15 September 2014. The meeting was attended by more than 80 registered participants from over 20 countries and attended lectures from internationally renowned speakers from Europe, the US, Middle East and Asia, including an EMBO lecture from Prof. Doug Higgs (Oxford, UK). Two trophies were presented to Ms. Marina Bartsakoulia (Newcastle, UK) and Prof. Sonja Pavlovic (Belgrade, Serbia) for submitting the two best abstracts for this meeting.
We believe that this meeting, co-organized by the Golden Helix Foundation and the Genomic Medicine Alliance, has set a high standard and we look forward to the co-oganization of the next Golden Helix Summer School in 2016. Please check back soon for more updates.
